Doomadgee Roadhouse

The Doomadgee Roadhouse is 100% Aboriginal owned and is one of the most successful examples of an Indigenous owned business in a remote area that benefits Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. It illustrates what can be achieved in an Indigenous community with the right partnerships, financial resourcing, good management and corporate governance.

Currently our customers are primarily residents of Doomadgee but there are also contractors and some tourists. Effectively, all of our customers are our stakeholders because profits are reinvested to better serve the community.

Doomadgee Roadhouse is open 7 days for accommodation, gas, air, diesel and ULP, car/4WD hire, takeaway, drinks, toilet facilities, ice groceries and fishing gear. There is an ATM.
